StudiFoca 1.0 is available today

StudiFoca is on the App Store as of today, 24 AUG 2026. It is a coursework planner for iPhone and iPad, built for students with ADHD.

Most planners answer “what’s due.” That is a useful question and a solved one. StudiFoca is built around the harder question underneath it—how much work is actually coming, and when.

Seeing where the term gets heavy

The workload heat map has Week, Month, and Full Term views showing where effort concentrates. Full Term is the one worth opening first: it is the only view that shows a whole semester at once, and it is the only one that answers a question a calendar cannot. A month grid tells you what is on the seventeenth. A term view tells you that the third week of October is going to be rough, and it tells you in August.

Nothing about this is a score. There is no streak, no completion percentage, no ranking. It is a picture of the term, and what to do about it is your call.

Assignments that stop presenting as a wall

A large assignment sitting in a list as one line—Term paper, due 12 NOV 2026—is a wall. StudiFoca lets you break it into ordered steps, and then shows you one at a time: the next step stays grayed out until the one before it is done.

This is opt-in, not automatic. Start Working creates the breakdown. Schedule Steps places those steps on the agenda across the days you have available. If you never touch either, StudiFoca is a planner that leaves your assignments as assignments.

Where things go

Class meetings and assignment and assessment due dates appear in Apple Calendar. Scheduled steps appear in Reminders. Both directions are outbound—StudiFoca writes to those apps, and nothing comes back in.

Coursework imports from Canvas and Brightspace by calendar feed, with duplicate detection when you re-import. There is also a PDF syllabus import that extracts course structure only—meeting times, instructor, the shape of the course. It does not extract assignments or assessments, and it requires iOS 26 or later on an Apple-Intelligence-capable device, because it runs on Apple’s on-device foundation models. If your device does not support it, everything else in StudiFoca works exactly the same.

Home Screen widgets show today’s classes and the items due today. That is their whole scope—today, on the Home Screen.

Grades, and where they come from

You enter every grade yourself. StudiFoca does not connect to a gradebook, an LMS, or a school system to retrieve them.

For letter-graded courses, StudiFoca shows a current estimated grade and the average you would need on remaining work to reach a target. Standard and plus/minus scales are both supported. Courses graded Pass/Fail, Satisfactory–Pass–Fail, or Audit do not get a current grade or a required average—there is no numeric course grade to compute in those systems, so StudiFoca does not invent one.

What it will not do

It will not tell you that you are behind. It will not send you a notification at 9 p.m. asking whether you got anything done. It will not turn a bad week into a broken streak.

That absence is deliberate and it is most of the design. The point is to see the shape of the term clearly enough to make your own decisions about it.

Privacy

There is no account to create. StudiFoca collects no data. No analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, no third-party tracking. Your coursework stays on your device and, if you choose, in your own iCloud. The App Store privacy label reads “Data Not Collected.”

What it costs

StudiFoca is free to download, and the free tier includes every feature—nothing is held back behind the purchase. What the free tier limits is capacity: one term and two courses.

Full Load removes that limit. Unlimited terms, unlimited courses, $9.99, one time. There is no subscription and there will not be one.

The distinction matters more than it sounds. A gated feature means the free version is a demo. A gated capacity means the free version is the actual app, at a size that fits a lot of people permanently. If you are taking two courses this term, you may simply never need to buy anything.
