Each course can have all of its information filled out, notifications fire on all levels of the app exactly the same way, each course’s assignments and assessments are tracked the same, including the steps breakdown.
The free tier is intended as a starting point for the neurodivergent student who is working and taking one or two courses, a part-time student and full-time employee who wants to stay on top of their schoolwork without worrying about how much it will eat into their income.
A student attending school full time, or anyone carrying more than a couple of courses in a term, will run into those two limits soon enough. That’s what the Full Load purchase is for: it lifts the one-term and two-course caps, so a complete schedule—every term, every course—is tracked the same way the free tier tracks one or two.
Full Load is a one-time purchase of $9.99, not a subscription. That’s a deliberate choice. Students already carry enough that renews on someone else’s calendar—tuition, fees, a textbook with a new edition every fall. StudiFoca isn’t going to be another recurring line item. Pay once, and it’s unlocked for good.
Could it be free? Not quite, honestly. There are real costs to building an app and keeping it running, and the ways to cover them are limited: charge a fair price once, charge forever, or harvest and sell data. Only the first one fits an app built for, not against, your brain. $9.99 is about as lean as that price gets while keeping StudiFoca maintained and improving.
