It&#8217;s an optional setting, Read coursework with Private Cloud Compute, and it&#8217;s off by default. When it&#8217;s on, the text StudiFoca pulls from the PDF goes to Apple&#8217;s Private Cloud Compute for the reading, and nowhere else. It is never sent to us, and StudiFoca still has no app server and no account to create.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Course details (title, meeting times, and instructor) are read on the device, as before, on iOS 26 or later with Apple Intelligence. Everything found shows up for review first; nothing is added until it&#8217;s approved. Apple sets a daily limit on Private Cloud Compute requests, and the reading isn&#8217;t perfect (an in-class activity described only in a paragraph can slip past), so a quick look over the list is worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also new: with that setting on, Import Coursework from Syllabus, in each course&#8217;s menu, adds assignments and exams to a course that already exists. And a small fix: Term details no longer show the &#8220;Courses:&#8221; heading twice. StudiFoca 1.4.1, out today, follows up with clearer text and roomier spacing on the screen that reviews what a syllabus import found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Who it&#8217;s for: anyone on iOS 27 with a device that supports Apple Intelligence gets the full feature. On iOS 26, syllabus import still fills in course details on the device.
