StudiFoca 1.0 is available today<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

StudiFoca is on the App Store as of today, 24 AUG 2026. It is a coursework planner for iPhone and iPad, built for students with ADHD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most planners answer “what’s due.” That is a useful question and a solved one. StudiFoca is built around the harder question underneath it\u2014how much work is actually coming, and when.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seeing where the term gets heavy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The workload heat map has Week, Month, and Full Term views showing where effort concentrates. Full Term is the one worth opening first: it is the only view that shows a whole semester at once, and it is the only one that answers a question a calendar cannot. A month grid tells you what is on the seventeenth. A term view tells you that the third week of October is going to be rough, and it tells you in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nothing about this is a score. There is no streak, no completion percentage, no ranking. It is a picture of the term, and what to do about it is your call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assignments that stop presenting as a wall<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A large assignment sitting in a list as one line\u2014Term paper, due 12 NOV 2026<\/em>\u2014is a wall. StudiFoca lets you break it into ordered steps, and then shows you one at a time: the next step stays grayed out until the one before it is done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is opt-in, not automatic. Start Working<\/strong> creates the breakdown. Schedule Steps<\/strong> places those steps on the agenda across the days you have available. If you never touch either, StudiFoca is a planner that leaves your assignments as assignments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where things go<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Class meetings and assignment and assessment due dates appear in Apple Calendar. Scheduled steps appear in Reminders. Both directions are outbound\u2014StudiFoca writes to those apps, and nothing comes back in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coursework imports from Canvas and Brightspace by calendar feed, with duplicate detection when you re-import. There is also a PDF syllabus import that extracts course structure only<\/strong>\u2014meeting times, instructor, the shape of the course. It does not extract assignments or assessments, and it requires iOS 26 or later on an Apple-Intelligence-capable device, because it runs on Apple’s on-device foundation models. If your device does not support it, everything else in StudiFoca works exactly the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Home Screen widgets show today’s classes and the items due today. That is their whole scope\u2014today, on the Home Screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grades, and where they come from<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You enter every grade yourself. StudiFoca does not connect to a gradebook, an LMS, or a school system to retrieve them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For letter-graded courses, StudiFoca shows a current estimated grade and the average you would need on remaining work to reach a target. Standard and plus\/minus scales are both supported. Courses graded Pass\/Fail, Satisfactory\u2013Pass\u2013Fail, or Audit do not get a current grade or a required average\u2014there is no numeric course grade to compute in those systems, so StudiFoca does not invent one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What it will not do<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It will not tell you that you are behind. It will not send you a notification at 9 p.m. asking whether you got anything done. It will not turn a bad week into a broken streak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That absence is deliberate and it is most of the design. The point is to see the shape of the term clearly enough to make your own decisions about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Privacy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There is no account to create. StudiFoca collects no data. No analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, no third-party tracking. Your coursework stays on your device and, if you choose, in your own iCloud. The App Store privacy label reads “Data Not Collected.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What it costs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

StudiFoca is free to download, and the free tier includes every feature<\/strong>\u2014nothing is held back behind the purchase. What the free tier limits is capacity: one term and two courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Full Load<\/strong> removes that limit. Unlimited terms, unlimited courses, $9.99, one time.<\/strong> There is no subscription and there will not be one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The distinction matters more than it sounds. A gated feature<\/em> means the free version is a demo. A gated capacity<\/em> means the free version is the actual app, at a size that fits a lot of people permanently. If you are taking two courses this term, you may simply never need to buy anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

iPhone and iPad, iOS 18.5 or later. macOS is planned after launch. English only for now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
