Used to size steps and to calculate the workload heat map. Not a timer — StudiFoca doesn’t run a countdown while you work. See Blocks and steps.

Step — One piece of a broken-down assignment, sized in blocks and checked off individually as you complete it. Fully editable before or after they’re created.

Breakdown — The full set of steps for one assignment, taken together. “Removing a breakdown” clears the steps back to none; a breakdown can be regenerated at any time.

Step Template — The default list of suggested steps for a given assignment type (Paper, Lab Report, Discussion, and so on), editable in Settings → Assignment Breakdown.
